365NEWS gathered that on Thursday, President Bola Tinubu has instructed the withdrawal of the nomination of Engr Imam Kashim Imam.
Imam, who was previously appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), will no longer assume the role.
A statement from the President’s Media Aide, Ajuri Ngelale, confirmed the immediate effect of Imam’s withdrawal.
Ajuri clarified that this directive does not impact other appointments to the board and executive management team of FERMA.
Recall that there was significant public criticism regarding the appointment of Imam, who is believed to be 24 years old, to the board of FERMA.
No specific reasons were provided for the Presidency’s decision to withdraw the nomination.
